Guest speakers were Mike Oliver of MACI, Gary Roberts from the Medford Arts Council, and Jack McGoldrick  of CACHE.  They discussed Medford's arts community, Circle in the Square, The Doc Kountze Festival, CACHE's Mystic River Celebration at the Shell and other ongoing artistic and cultural events.  The City of Medford funds about $18,000 for this years Arts community, compared to Somerville $350K+ and Cambridge $900K.  The arts council does quite a bit with very little funding.
