
Each year the Medford Rotary Club awards scholarships to deserving students from Medford pursuing further education at a two year or four year college, and one specifically for a trade school. The scholarships are presented to candidates that exemplify the ideals of Rotary - "service above self" and commitment to the community and fellow man. An additional scholarship is awarded at random to a candidate that meets the graduation requirements for his/her high school and have been accepted to a two year or four year college.

Mark Egitto “Service Above Self” Scholarship $1,000
Awarded to the Medford Senior that personifies the Rotary Motto, “Service Above Self”. This award honors the memory of longtime Medford Rotarian, Mark Egitto, who exemplified the ideals of “Service Above Self”.
Joseph Carr “Spirit of Life” Scholarship $1,000
Awarded to the Medford senior that personifies Joe Carr’s love of life and concern for his fellow man. This award honors Joe Carr, who despite the daily challenges of Parkinson’s disease, maintained a positive attitude and always put the concerns of others before himself. A 30 plus year member of Medford Rotary, Joe was an amazing example for his fellow Rotarians and the community at large.
Charles Oxnard Citizenship Award $1,000
Awarded to the Medford Senior who has demonstrated involvement in community service. The award bears the name of charter member Charles Oxnard, who dedicated over 50 years of service to the Medford Rotary Club and the Medford community.
Joseph E. Mahoney Scholarship $1,000
Awarded to the Medford Senior who has given something back to their community. This award was named in honor of Joe Mahoney who has demonstrated his support for the Medford community by lending his time, talent and leadership to Medford Rotary’s vision to serve the local community.
Edward M. Juskalian Memorial Scholarship $1,000
Awarded to the Medford Senior pursuing an education in a trade school or accredited certification program. The candidate should also demonstrate their record of community support and financial need. This award is a tribute to the memory of the late Edward M. Juskalian, a 50-year member of the club, and is funded in conjunction with the generous support of Ed’s family.
Random Scholarship Award $1,000
Awarded to the Medford Senior entering a two or four year school beginning in the fall of 2012. The award is presented to one student drawn at random from the pool of all eligible applicants.
